Kelly R's 1968 Firebird
(In His own Words)
It took me close to five years to restore/build/modify this car to where it is now. I am proud of the fact that I did almost all the work myself in my garage including building the engine. I started with a good body and paint, no engine, a turbo 350 auto and a 2:56 peg-leg rear, 4 wheel drum brakes and a very tired interior. It is now a 462 (.030 over 455), muncie m-21 4 speed, 3.08 posi, and 4-wheel discs and completely re-done interior. I have documented and photographed almost all the steps of my build on a website at http://www3.telus.net/68bird/index.htm
Dave and SD Performance were recommended to me through the Pontiac community online when I was looking for some performance engine parts when I rebuilt my engine in 2011. I found him and Lisa to be awesome to deal with and I would not hesitate to purchase parts from him again. I hope to someday be able to use his engine building talents to have a stroker 400 with KRE alum heads and the new Northwind intake. Dave has also been a great resource when I had any questions along my engine build. |
