Charles's 1976 Trans Am
(In His own Words)

I just installed my new 455 HO motor in my 76 Trans am and I very pleased with the performance of the engine.

Thanks to Lisa, Dave and Marcel at SD Performance for all the help. SD Performance did the short block and head package for me. Also supplied all the parts for assembly.

The engine is backup with a TKO-600 from Keisler. The car will see a new 12 bolt rear end this coming summer. Undecided on rear gear.

Also would like to Thank my Wife Susan, Erwin, and My Son Trevor for their help with the install and many Friends..

Engine Specs.
72 SR 455 4 bolt Block, #197 Heads done by SD Performance. Old Faithful Cam 236/245 Roller. Tomahawk Intake, Ross pistons, Eagles rods, 4.25 Forged crank, Canton oil pan, 1.5 Harland Sharpe R/R, Cliff prepped Q-jet, 1.75 x 3" Hedman Hustlers, 2.5" Mandrel Exhaust.
