Our base shortblock package (461-474ci) includes a boiled, peened, wet magged and deburred 400 or 455 block with 2 bolt main caps & ARP main stud kit, The block is precisely machined on the latest Rottler CNC block machining center which includes, machining the main line, rough boring and square decking the block after which the block is torque plate honed for the ultimate ring seal. The std. internally balanced rotating parts consist of an Eagle cast steel crank, Eagle 6.800" H-beam forged rods, Ross Racing flattop Pistons and pins, Plasma-Moly file fit rings, FM or Clevite main and Rod bearings, fitted DuraBond cam bearings, Brass Freeze Plugs with screw in oil galley plugs front and back, prepped oil pump, hardened oil pump driveshaft and a complete FelPro gasket set. Our shortblocks are meticulously assembled and all clearances are remeasured prior to final assembly to assure our customers many years of trouble free service.
