SD Performance spends an extensive amount of time on the dyno, at the track and on the street to develop some of the best performing Pontiac ported cylinder heads on the market today. SD Performance has more 5 Axis CNC Porting and Combustion Chamber Programs for Pontiac heads then anyone and we are constantly working on more and improving existing programs in our never ending search for more pure Pontiac power. All of our heads are flow tested on our state of the art computerized Superflow 600 flowbench equipped with velocity probes, but we’ve learned that what really counts, is how our heads work in the real world. A flowbench is a great tool which we use daily, but there is more to an efficient head than just flow, too many put their faith in flowbench numbers alone.

Precision assembly - SD Performance precision assembly means, we test ALL valve springs on a digital spring tester, and set ALL installed heights individually to equalize the springs as close as possible.

Don't Forget, all Aluminum heads will not work with OEM head bolts and require new Head Bolts or Head Studs, we have ARP fasteners in stock from $75.00.






KRE 295cfm CNC Ported D-port head
The KRE D-port head is a well designed head for street/strip applications. We start with a raw as cast KRE D-port head and CNC port it to flow 290-295cfm @ .550" lift with only 197cc intake runners, we then CNC machine the combustion chamber to a very efficient heart shape allowing more compression on the same fuel when compared to Edelbrock heads.
Our KRE D-port heads feature interlocking valve seats with 2.11" intake and 1.77" exhaust valves, 2.400" long full bronze valve guides for long life in street/strip applications. All our KRE heads are surfaced on the deck and intake surface with an extremely smooth finish prior to assembly so we can tailor the volume to your specific needs, gasket seal with today's mls gaskets is not an issue, please call for details. These heads are set up for hyd. flat, hyd. roller or solid flat tappet applications, spring cups or locators are used to locate the bottom of the spring improving valve and spring stability substantially. We can also set them up for a Solid Roller for an additional charge. In a back to back dyno test these heads will produce as much or more power on a true street/strip pump gas combination when compared to our 315cfm Edelbrock heads.

KRE 300-305cfm CNC ported D-port head
This head package has everything our 295 package includes with taller intake ports measuring 204cc's. The package was designed for engine combo's utilizing larger duration camshafts. In a recent dyno test on a 434ci 10.8 to 1 engine running on 92 octane with this head package along with a ported Torker II intake, 4150 carb and one of our larger custom hyd. roller camshafts made 604.8hp @ 6700rpm and 545.2 lb/ft of torque @ 5100rpm with a very broad power band. KRE 315-320cfm CNC Ported D-port head
These heads feature everything our KRE 290cfm D-port heads include with increased airflow for engine combinations requiring a larger (228cc) higher flowing port and feature custom Manley Severe Duty 2.150" intake valves and custom higher flowing tuliped 1.740" exhaust valves. Edelbrock D-port 300-310 cfm CNC Ported Street/Strip Heads
Street/Strip Edelbrock D-port heads, setup for hyd. flat tappet or solid or hyd. roller cam, includes everything above, fully CNC ported to flow 300-310cfm @ .600” lift @ 28”, no extra cost valve size options, 2.11” or 2.19" intake valves, 1.66” or 1.77” exhaust valves. More flow throughout all valve lifts compared to out of the box Edelbrock heads with better components installed for only a few dollars more!!!!
