Preston Larson's 1970 Formula 400
(In His own Words)

This is my (restored by me) Admiralty Blue 70 Formula 400, powered by a 72 455/463 with original T-400 transmission, Jim Hand converter and original 12-bolt rear with 3.42 gears, Eaton posi and Moser axles. The original #'s matching YS code 400 is tucked away for safe keeping. The engine sports a pair of Dave's 295cfm KRE heads, cnc'd iron intake and a Ruggles built 800cfm q-jet. The cam is SD's Old Faithful 236/245/112 using Scorpion 1.6 rockers. The exhaust leaves through a set of 1 3/4" Hooker Super Comps with a Pypes 3" x-pipe system. This sweet Firebird has never been to the track but is extremely lively!!! It is also a very nice mannered street machine. Thanks to Dave for all of his expert workmanship and advice!!!
